Zambia

Covering a vast area of 752 600 square kilometres and with a population of 11 700 000, Zambia is a sparsely inhabited country boasting one of the lowest population densities in the world.

About 40 percent of the Zambian population lives in it’s urban areas, with ten percent of the total population concentrated in Lusaka, the energetic capital of Zambia.
Lusaka is one of the fastest growing cities in central Africa and is a bustling centre for economic, political and cultural activities.

To the west of the country, bordering Zimbabwe and about ten kilometres from the spectacular Victoria Falls is the well known adventure town of Livingstone.
Although the town of Livingstone is itself not very large or busy, it is the base for anyone coming to Zambia to see the Falls.

Zambia is becoming increasingly popular as a safari destination. It is home to a huge variety of mammals including elephant, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and lion.

The huge land-locked country has vast areas of wilderness, which have never borne witness to the footprint of man. Zambia is home to large areas of rich woodland, lakes, swamps and rivers.
