    Undoubtedly one of the world’s most beautiful wilderness areas with an abundance of wetlands, grass plains and forests. The diversity of its habitats ensures a wide variety of wildlife and birdlife.

    DAY 5 to 7 | OKAVANGO DELTA

    This lush green region of Botswana is in complete contrast to the arid regions which surround it. The maze of lagoons and winding channels is beautiful and captivating. Activities in the region vary according to the location of the lodges and the fluctuating water levels. They range from game drives and motorized boat excursions (optional fishing offered at some lodges) to gliding along the winding channels in traditional dug-out ‘mokoros’ (canoes).

    It is the second largest National Park in the country, covers over 4,000 square miles and includes the diverse ecosystem of the Savute marshes and Linyanti. The Park is renowned for its dense elephant population – large herds are often seen along the banks of the impressive Chobe River. A boat trip down the River is the best way to savour the scenery, view the abundant bird and animal and to experience an unforgettable sunset!
