most interesting, the Mayans seem to have been before their time in terms of knowledge
of the solar system, time and their building of underground cities. "

quiet, stillness, incredible beauty and the fact that only 1.5 million people
live in this vast country so there is always a feeling of space. Wonderful icons
are sand-dunes, skeleton coast and Caprivi strip along the Kunene River."

love to go back as the first visit was far too short! Need time to investigate
a bit more and meet the people. The scenery just leaves one in awe of Mother Nature
and what she has to offer with all that snow and ice around! Lots of Free Willy
impersonators to confuse you, dogs with piercing blue eyes and beautiful fur coats,
big brown grizzly bears scooping up red sock-eyed salmon attempting to swim upstream
and when they don’t succeed they start eyeing the camera-toting tourists
as food to go!"

of South Africa it must be Mauritius – the locals make you feel welcome from
the time you arrive until the time you leave. Their only mission in life is to

Botswana. A wilderness ‘wonderland’ – the excursions on the mokoro
dug out boats bring one very close to nature: no sounds other than the singing

to game drinking along the river banks (and the hippos en route !!!)"

ever experienced anything like it. We stayed in a Tree House and had to dodge
monkeys who were very keen to jump on us, wherever we went– we were a group
of girls, so you can just imagine the pandemonium!! It was an absolute privilege
to have been and I hope that there will be an opportunity one day for me to take
my family!"
