Shamwari is now offering guests the unbelievable opportunity to attend the Shamwari Safari School.
This safari course will allow guests to experience hands-on game ranging in the world famous Shamwari Private Game Reserve whilst simultaneously enjoying all this incredible reserve has to offer.

Guests to Shamwari may embark on a three day safari excursion in which they will come face-to-face with South Africa's wild and diverse flora and fauna, and where they will partake in game drives and walking safaris, and enjoy luxury Shamwari accommodation as well as a fly-camp sleep-out in the bush under the African stars.

The Ranger School at Shamwari is a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed.

Day 1

Morning shooting practice, including safety procedures and target shooting.
Afternoon game drive with emphasis on approaching potentially animals, warning signs, escape routes and basic safety principles when in a vehicle.
Evening dinner and relaxation.

Day 2

Walking safari procedures, considerations, safety and group control followed by a walk control followed by a walk concentrating on tracking spoor, dung and insect identification.
Afternoon game drive aimed on birding.
Fly camp sleep out, African barbeque, night drive astronomy and folklore stories.

Day 3

Walking safari from fly camp back to base camp - with emphasis on direction finding and safety.
Return to lodge for refreshments
